European Heritage Days in Nice: A great success with the public and enthusiastic support aboard France 1! đ«đ·âïž
On September 19th and 20th, the legendary sailing ship France 1 (12MJI) made a remarkable stopover at Port Lympia in Nice (Quai Papacino) for the European Heritage Days. A weekend dedicated to passing on knowledge, maritime passion, and generosity!
Nearly 300 visitors came to discover a legend of the seas.
During these two days, many of you crossed the gangway of the very first French challenge in the history of the America's Cup (1970), classified as a Historical Monument.
In total, 297 visitorsâ147 on Saturday and 150 on Sundayâcame to walk on the ship's deck. Curious onlookers, boating enthusiasts, families, and people of all ages were able to immerse themselves in the history and unique features of this jewel of French maritime heritage.

This success is based first and foremost on the commitment and passion of our volunteers on site.
A huge thank you and a big congratulations to Valentine, Amaury, Olivier and Jonah, who brilliantly led these two days, retracing the epic history of France and its technological secrets during captivating guided tours!
A big thank you also to Auréa, who provided a warm welcome to visitors on the quayside throughout the weekend and greatly contributed to the success of this Nice adventure.
Invaluable support for the preservation of our sailboat
In addition to the enthusiasm during the visits, many enthusiasts left with souvenirs in the colors of France 1 (T-shirts, goodies).
Every purchase and every financial contribution directly enables our association (law 1901) to maintain, equip and keep this exceptional ship seaworthy.
