TEAM MEMBERS GRANTS
Become a crew member on a 12 mJI of the 55th Coupe de France!
The AFCA aims to provide crew training and introduce young people to competitive sailing.
In this context, the AFCA offers to train sailors in order to join the Coupe de France crew scholarship, managed by the Yacht Club de France.
Each candidate completes a file, specifying their level of experience and availability. Depending on his level, he will be contacted to board the 12 mJI FRANCE in Hyères for a day of testing/training. Following this day, the crew member's file will be sent to the Yacht Club de France. He will thus join the Coupe de France teammates' scholarship. This grant will be sent to the skippers of the different boats registered for the 55th Coupe de France who will contact these teammates if necessary.

The 55th edition of the Coupe de France will be run through a Championship in 12 events between September 2023 and October 2024 from Cannes to Toulon and even Barcelona during the 2024 America's Cup.
It will bring together between 18 and 30 boats from all over the world. The 12 mJI, 18/21 meter racing boats, carry between 11 and 14 crew.
Foreign crews will not be able to mobilize all of their usual crews, in particular for the following reasons: availability, reduction of environmental impact (reduction of travel), costs (of international travel). This will require taking on additional team members.

The 12 mJI boats represented the pinnacle of yacht development from 1907 to 1987 for the highest levels of international sailing competition – from the Olympics (1908-1920) to the America's Cup (1958-1987). ;https://12mrclass.com/
